The price of eggs has actually been steadily increasing whether or not you’ve been able to feel it. 2020 to 2021 saw about a 10% increase in average prices and 2021 to 2022 had a more dramatic increase of about 70% within this period!  The price movement between 2022 to 2023 actually showed a slight 2% decrease in price but this was short lived as the prices increased by 17% in 2023 to 2024.
