  The price of eggs has been steadily increasing from $1.46 per dozen in January 2020 all the way to $7.09 per dozen in January 2025. Take a look at this graph to better visualize the price jump. The price of eggs has actually been steadily increasing whether or not you’ve been able to feel it. 2020 to 2021 saw about a 10% increase in average prices and 2021 to 2022 had a more dramatic increase of about 70% within this period!  The price movement between 2022 to 2023 actually showed a slight 2% decrease in price but this was short lived as the prices increased by 17% in 2023 to 2024. The real kicker here is the price difference between 2024 and the start of 2025. This period showed a whopping 124% increase in price! If you take a look at the price difference between 2020 and 2025, there has been about a 370% increase in price.
